[Mild Economy, Reporter Lee Soo-kyung] On the 27th, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance announced at the "2nd Korea Social Value Festa," hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and co-hosted by Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, that it, as Korea's leading children's insurance company, unveiled the "I-Mind Campaign," a social contribution project aimed at promoting healthy and happy lives for parents and children.
The newly unveiled "I-Mind Campaign" consists of two programs. The first is the "I-Mind Exploration Team," a KRW 15 billion public offering designed to identify early intervention solutions for children with developmental delays and disabilities, in collaboration with Professor Chun Geun-ah of Severance Children's Hospital.
The competition, which began in June, received applications from 175 teams with innovative technologies and methods. These included AI voice recognition technology to improve children's language and social skills, digital therapeutic devices to support the independence of children with developmental delays and disabilities, and AI-based analysis of retinal fundus images and brainwave data for the early diagnosis of children with autism spectrum disorder. Fifteen teams were ultimately selected. The selected teams will receive up to 1.7 billion won in support, including funding for development and validation, as well as compensation based on final results.
Professor Cheon Geun-ah, chair of the "I-Mind Exploration Team," stated, "To solve developmental problems, new and innovative approaches that transcend existing frameworks are necessary." She added, "I sincerely thank Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance for conceptualizing such a large-scale project to create change, and the many innovative entities who submitted new solutions."
