DNA Corporation, a gene-based mental healthcare solutions company (CEO Ko Kyung-hwan), announced on the 3rd that it has been selected as an “Impact Startup” at Web Summit 2025, the world’s largest startup conference, which will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from the 10th to the 13th. It is the only startup from South Korea to receive this recognition, and one of only two selected companies across Korea, China, and Japan.
DNA Corporation provides “ADHD BANK,” an AI-based solution that helps medical professionals more easily predict and diagnose attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) through genetic testing. The company has already won CES Innovation Awards in the United States for two consecutive years, in 2023 and 2024.
ADHD BANK is a digital healthcare system advanced through approximately three years of clinical research. When a user submits a sample of buccal epithelial cells (saliva) for genetic analysis, the company’s patented algorithm quantifies nine ADHD-related domains on a five-level scale to assess each individual’s level of risk exposure. ADHD is widely known to have a strong genetic component, and the solution aims to support earlier screening and the development of intervention strategies based on this foundation.
